World Mission University and the DSLIM Foundation will host a social work seminar on Tuesday, June 18th. The seminar will focus on “Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health.”
The event will feature presentations by Myung Chung, a promoter from the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and Hoyeon Kim, a professor from the Department of Special Education at Kangnam University in Korea. Myung Chung will speak on “Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health,” and Hoyeon Kim will present on “Communication and Social Support for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.”
Following the presentations, a panel discussion will take place, involving representatives from the LA County Department of Mental Health. The discussion will cover mental health strategies for families with children with disabilities, an introduction to the Department of Mental Health, and various open discussions.
The seminar will be held in the Smart Classroom on the 5th floor of World Mission University and will also be accessible online via Zoom. Pre-registration is required.
