This new year is bright with hope. Many changes in the new year will give you a foreboding, but at times like this, I hope we can pay more attention to the Word. The Word instructs us when we are lost, rebukes us where we err, corrects us when we go astray, and educates us in righteousness when we are in unrighteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
Moreover, it makes us “complete as men of God, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:17). There are many things that Satan has sown in our hearts – negativity, hatefulness, arrogance, and selfishness to name a few. However, we must remind ourselves and devote our spirituality with God and the Word to control our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and will to walk in a straight path. In order for us all to be a good person and a person devoted to God, we must receive the guidance of the Word with a full heart.
